Responsibilities:
- Perform heating/cooling load calculations, psychrometric analysis and energy-code compliance checks (ASHRAE 90.1/NECB).
- Lay out air-handling, hydronic and VRF systems; size ducts, piping and equipment, preparing Revit drawings and schedules.
- Select HVAC equipment, draft sequences of operation and assist in writing Division 23 specifications.
- Participate in site surveys, construction walk-throughs and TAB/commissioning reviews, documenting findings.
- Collaborate closely with electrical for power/controls requirements and with structural for penetrations and equipment supports.
Qualifications:
- BASc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering; 1-5yrs HVAC design; EIT status preferred.
- Proficiency with Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE plusRevit and AutoCAD
